Alice (Levesque) Drouin
1923 - 2015
WATERVILLE - Alice (Levesque) Drouin, 91, passed away August 7, 2015 at Lakewood Continuing Care Center surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 30, 1923 in Sheridan, the daughter of Alcide and Stella (Therault) Levesque.
Alice was the owner of South End Café for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, cross stitch, fishing, hunting, was a master prankster and loved bingo. She was a resident of St. Petersburg, Fla. for over 20 years before returning back home to Waterville in the early 90's. She was devoted to her family and cherished her time with them.
Alice is survived by daughter, Lucienne "Lou" Raynes of Belgrade; two grandsons, David L. Raynes, Jr. And wife Tina of Winslow, Todd Raynes and wife Stephanie of Winslow; two great-grandsons, David "DJ" Raynes III of Winslow, Nathan Raynes of Winslow, two great-granddaughters, Alyssa Burnette of Waterville, Emily Raynes of Winslow; step children who were raised as her own, Mary Jane Cobb of Belgrade and her children, Debra, Bill Jr., Michelle and their families, Henry Drouin and and his long time companion Arlene of Meriden, Conn., Herman Drouin and his long time campanion Judy of Zephyr Hills, Fla. and his children, Kelly and Lee and their families; Roger Drouin's children,Tammy, Terry, Tina, Angela, Pam, Bill, Carol, Betty Jo and their families; four sisters, Edna Moro and Claire Moro; Evelyn Salamone; Jeannette Gagnon, Nancy Paradis and husband Luellyn, brother, Robert Levesque and wife Joyce, sister-in-law, Kitty Levesque, Jeannette Levesque, brother-in-law, Harold Gerrish, a special sister-in-law, Jeannine Levesque and husband Maurice; numerous great and great-great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lucien O. Drouin; step-son, Roger Drouin; sons-in-law, David Raynes, Billy Cobb; sisters, Regina Ouellette, Irene Gauslin, Rose Neptune, Laura Gerrish; brothers, Harold Levesque, Fred Levesque; brothers-in-law, Del Ouellette, Ralph Salamone, Milton Gagnon.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Church on Silver Street in Waterville, with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade.

God bless you, I remember as a young child driving from Plainville Ct to Caribou Maine and stopping at their restaurant and eating some wonderful food or to their beautiful cabins for a short visit. I received two puppies from her and(Beauty)her beloved dog. I remember her having a tame squirrel come to the door of their cabin and hand feed it peanuts. she was truly an animal lover. With fondest memories and deepest sympathy.

I am So sorry to hear of the loss of Alice.
She was at one time very much part of my life.
We shared a lot of great times together.
A lot of good memories..from the time we lived on a boat to the years she and Lucien spent their winters with us.
We will miss you Alice.
