Burton Gay Obituary

AUGUSTA -- A celebration of life for Burton W. Gay, who died April 9, 2011, was held Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, with the Rev. Scott Jones, pastor of All Souls Church, Oakland, officiating. As part of the service, there was a time of sharing. Also, several of Mr. Gay's favorite theme songs from past television shows were played.

Pallbearers were Bruce, Shawn and Austin Figoli, Chad Caron, Aaron Hussey and T.J. Vallee.

Burial occurred in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta, where pastor Jones offered committal prayers. Military honors were provided by members of the Maine Military Honors Program. The American flag was presented to Mr. Gay's daughter, Elizabeth Caron.

Liz and family, I'll never forget the trip I made with you to the camp in Lexington and the stuff your father was doing that cracked us up. He certainly was a cool guy. Freida must be happy to be back with her honey. Keep the faith and know that he had a great life with all you in it.
