CHANDLER MELANSON Obituary
Chandler "Channy" was an angel sent to us from Heaven. Although he was only here for a short time, his infectious smile and his always joyful nature touched the lives of all who met him.
Even those who didn't personally know him were touched by his beautiful spirit. He came into this world faced with many challenges. Despite the hand he was dealt, he never folded. He was a fighter who overcame every obstacle with a never-ending smile. We all take comfort in knowing that he is smiling down on us from Heaven and is "Still a happy boy."
Chandler is survived by his father and mother, Nicholas S. Melanson, of Augusta, and Tiffany L. Barrett, of Farmingdale; two sisters: Samantha Briggs and Chelsea Derusha, both of Farmingdale; maternal grandparents Dana Barrett and Kari (Linton) Barrett, of Richmond; paternal grandparents Ricky Melanson, of Sidney, and Nancy A. (Smith) Melanson, of Augusta; his Nona, Judith "Dee Dee" Rollins, of Sidney; aunts and uncles: Derek Barrett, Amanda Barrett, Lauren Barrett and Ericka Melanson; as well as his great-grandparents; and many cousins.
Relatives and friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m.on Monday, Sept. 9 at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta, right after the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Chandler's memory may be made to The 22Q Foundation at www.22q.org.

words cant express the pain parents have for the lose of a child we want our kids to be strong when we pass but we never expect to take the heartache on before they do keep your heads up as thats where your son is now and have faith dont let him see you fall just let him see you rise above all
