I would like to offer my condolences to Charles Farrar's family. I knew Mr. Farrar as a neighbor for 20 years in New Jersey. He was a role model to me and other young people on our street. Although I have not seen him for nearly 30 years, my memories of his generosity, humor and strength are still vivid. He was a person of unquestioned integrity, who unconditionally loved his family. In our neighborhood, he was known as a kind person who would always provide a helping hand to anyone. When he moved to Maine to retire, we all felt a loss. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to his wife Mary, his daughter Brenda and his son Robert as well as all of his relatives and friends. As a Catholic, we offer a prayer for God's blessing and for perpetual light to shine on Mr. Farrar. Mr. Farrar was so loved that many people have been affected by his loss and are offering prayers, but they may not be necessary or may be redundant. While we should all pray for him, Mr. Farrar, who lived a life that was full of good works and embodied good principles, surely has been welcomed into heaven.
