David Erving Obituary
1981 - 2018
AUGUSTA - David Erving, 37, of Augusta, Maine passed away Aug. 7 2018, at his home in Augusta. Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 12 at Kling's Cemetery on West River Road in Augusta. A gathering of friends and family will be held after at the family lot - if raining in Chelsea at the Chelsea Grange.
David Erving was born Jan. 5, 1981 in Augusta to Rose and Charlie Erving Sr. David graduated from Cony High School in 1999 and went straight to work after high school. He has been employed by NC Hunt in Jefferson, Maine for the last 16 years. David was a giant among men and his parents' pride and joy. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He had many dreams of racing, building a street rod and fixing his truck with his boys. David's Legacy is in his four sons - his pride and joy.
David is survived by his parents, Rose and Charlie Erving Sr.; his brothers, Charlie Erving Jr. and wife, Sarah, Jason Erving and wife, November; his four sons, Brandon York, Dylan Erving, David Erving, and Runner Erving (Marston); the boys' mother, Amanda York; grandparents, Richard Weeks and Mabel Smith. As well as his nieces and nephew, Miranda Erving, Tessa Erving, Talon Erving, Novianna Erving. Also many aunts, uncle's and cousin's.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards a memorial fund for David's boys, in care of their great-grandmother, Mabel Smith, [email protected]

Brother
You never gave anyone a last farewell, never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. A million times we will miss you. A million times we will cry. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else can fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for a part of us went with you, the day God took you home. We will meet again someday in a better place. I thank God, he made you my brother while you were here on earth. Rest in peace David.
