1944 - 2018
OAKLAND - Edwin Daniel
Mullen went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at Maine General in Augusta, after bravely battening a long illness.
Edwin was born Feb. 14, 1944, in Oakland and attended Oakland schools. Edwin served in the U.S. Army in Germany and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post #51 of Oakland.
Edwin is predeceased by his son Aaron Lee Mullen; his parents Muriel Perkins and Herbert E. Mullen, Sr.; his brother Herbert E Mullen, Jr. and his wife Sandra Shaw Mullen; several aunts and uncles; and his beloved boxer, Chelsea.
Edwin is survived by his wife Angela M. (Hinck) Mullen of 53 years; and two sons, Shawn E. Mullen and significant other, Karen Lock, Dale H. Mullen and his wife, Deborah (Beckwith); his daughter, Tammy M. (Mullen) Phillips and husband Daniel; sister Lisa E. Levine and fiancé Matt Wilcox; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins; as well as countless numbers of friends.
Edwin's family graciously thanks the Doctors, Nurses and C.N.A.'s of Maine General for their kindness and care during his long and frequent stays in the hospital. His family also thanks Dr. Gregory Emmons, Oncologist and his nurse Monique Crummett, R.N. of Veterans Hospital in Augusta, for their concern and care given over the years to Edwin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the American Legion Post #51 in Oakland following the graveside service when the spring burials begin. Notice will be given at that time. An online guestbook may be signed at www.lawrybrothers.com
Arrangements are by Lawry Brothers-Wheeler, 26 Church St., Oakland.

Dear family I grow up with all of you I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I know Edwin is walking with Aaron now spending all there time together. I must believe that that when God takes you home you are reunited with your loved ones and that there is no more pain. Watch for small signs for he is still with you. Angela your just like my mom don't hold nothing back speak what you think. Thinking of all of you God bless.
