Elizabeth Sirois Obituary

MADISON -- Elizabeth (Boileau) Sirois, 85, of Madison passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Skowhegan.

She was born July 17, 1922, in Madison, the daughter of Edmond and Virginia (Badeau) Boileau.

She attended Madison area schools.

Elizabeth married Patrick P. Sirois on Sept. 30, 1939 in Madison.

She worked many years for Norrwock Shoe Co. in Skowhegan.

She was a communicant of St. Sebastian Church in Madison, a former member of the Daughters of Isabella in Madison, and a member of T.G.W. Club in Madison. She loved to cook, entertain, and play cards and she was an avid seamstress. For many years Liz was the "resident cook" for many friends and relatives.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Patrick Sirois of Madison; four children, Peter Sirois and his wife, Joy, of Madison, Edmond Sirois and his wife, Donna, of Warwick, R.I., Jane-Ann Pedicino and her husband, William, of Prairie Village, Kan., and Roger Sirois of Madison; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary A. Hughes of Lewiston and Theresa Fourcaudot of Madison; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Joseph, born and died in February, 1941; and her sisters, Antoinette Lessard and her husband, Paul, Lucille Huard and her husband, Albert, and Agnes Nelson; and her brothers, Joseph Boileau, Stephen Boileau and his wife, Lottie, and Camille Boileau and his wife, Alice; and special brother in-law Octave Fourcaudot.

Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, at St. Sebastian Church, 161 Main St., Madison. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison.

She received wonderful care from Donna Richards of Moscow, who is a certified nursing assistant and works for Assistance Plus out of Benton.
