Frank Fiandaca Obituary

PALMYRA - Frank Allan Fiandaca Jr., 48, died suddenly and unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011. He was born in Melrose, Mass., on Jan. 8, 1963, the son of Frank A. Fiandaca and the late Dorothy (Nicholson) Fiandaca.
Allan owned and operated Fiandaca's Auto Repair for the past 20 years in Palmyra, where he was highly respected for his mechanical expertise. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, golfing, hunting, fishing and playing poker, but above all, family was his priority.
He loved spending time with his wife and daughters. He was very proud of his daughters, Alexis and Zoe, and was supportive of them in all their endeavors. He enjoyed spoiling them, and everyone who knew Allan knew how much he loved them.
Allan touched many people's lives with his kindness and generosity. He enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. He always had a story to share. He had a flare for adventure that has created memories to share and live on with the family and friends that he took along with him on his many journeys.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Frank and Jackie (Allen) Fiandaca of Peabody, Mass.; his loving wife Lori (Ayala) Fiandaca; two beautiful daughters, Alexis, 16, and Zoe, 13, of Palmyra; sister Julie (Fiandaca) Ingrao and her husband, Jack, and two nephews, Tanner, 18, and Justin, 15, all of Chino Valley, Arizona; special uncle and aunt, Robert and Debra Nicholson from Merritt Island, Fla.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Allan will be sadly missed, but always remembered by his family and friends.
There will be a community gathering at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Sebasticook Valley Elks Lodge, Middle Street in Pittsfield. A private committal service will be held at the family cemetery in Palmyra.

Lori, Lexi & Zoe
Allan was more than a friend he was the big brother that I never had. In my 20+ years that I had the honor of knowing Allan, I wish that I could of told him thank you for making my life better with all of his words of wisdom and his acts of kindness. Allan loved you and the girls so much, I remember when I saw Allan one day, and he said hay Mike I’m going to be a father and then when he told me that he was going to be a father again he was the happiest person on earth. The memories that I have will never fade, Allan will live in my heart forever. I think that everyone will agree that having Al in their lives has made them a better person.

To Allen's family: you probably never saw me, but Al worked on my vehicles until I finally had enough money to buy new ones! Haven't been around for awhile because of that and meant to stop in several times just to say, "Hi". Al was always very fair, helpful and one of the best mechanics I ever had. I am so sorry for your loss and you can be sure Al will be missed.

Lori, Alex and Zoe, I am so sorry for your loss. When I moved to Maine 20 years ago, Allan was one of the first people I met, first professionally then as a friend. He was always willing to give a hand even when his business was booked solid. There are so many wonderful traits he had but the list is too long to go in this limited space. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I hope you and the girls can remember all the wonderful things about him. I was proud to call him my friend.
