JEFFERY MAYO Obituary
Born and raised in Shawmut, he is the beloved son of David and Beverly Works Mayo.
Jeffery graduated from Lawrence High School in Maine, where he grew up. He married Geniene Bacon on March 30, 1985. He was a devoted husband and father to his girls.
Jeff worked as a machinist in Billerica, Mass., and for GE in Schenectady prior to his service for the last 15 years at ZAK Inc. in Green Island, N.Y. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, fishing, hunting and camping. Jeff enjoyed the game of golf with his friends and rooting for his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers.
He was a communicant of Faith Baptist Church in Rexford.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 28 years, Geniene Mayo, his loving daughters, Ashley, Chelsea and Lindsay Mayo, all of Glenville; brothers Michael (Tina) Mayo, of Canaan, Stephen (Melanie) Mayo, of Fairfield, James Mayo, of Benton, Timothy (Karen) Mayo, of Sidney and Ronald (Heather) Mayo, of Skowhegan; sisters, Corrisann (Norman) Vigue, of Skowhegan, Donna (Robert) Fortin, of Winslow, and Mary (Brian) Wadleigh, of Fairfield. Surviving also are numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20, at 9 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 11 Glenridge Road in Rexford, N.Y. Calling hours are Sunday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. Contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Helping Hands Fund, 11 Glenridge Road, Rexford, NY12148. Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland.

Genie, Ashley, Chelsea, and Lindsay , I am so sorry for your loss, Jeff is the finest friend that l have ever met in this life we were coworkers, fishin and hunting buds, roommates, I helped mentor Jeff in metal working and he introduced me motorcycle riding and the State of Maine and most of all to his wonderful family. We will miss his wave and smile when we were driving by while he was working on the lawn or when he would pass by our house walking the dog.
