Judith Taylor Obituary

LITTLETON, Mass. -- Judith "Judy" (Ware) Taylor, registered nurse, 72, a resident of Littleton since 1960, died on Feb. 26, 2009, at Emerson Hospital in Concord.

She was born in Augusta, Maine, on April 2, 1936, daughter of the late Donald and Louise (Gay) Ware, and was the wife of the late Richard "Dick" Taylor, who died on July 12, 2002.

She graduated from Cony High School in Augusta in 1954 and Malden School of Nursing in Malden in 1957. She was employed as a registered nurse at Malden Hospital and Emerson Hospital in Concord and, for 18 years, as an industrial nurse and benefits administrator for Avco/Textron Systems of Lowell and Wilmington.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sherry (Smith) Taylor of Littleton, Thomas and Laurie (Marshall) Taylor of Littleton, and Donald "Bud" and Katherine (Hall) Taylor of Readfield, Maine; nine grandchildren, Bethany, Thomas, Casey, Robin and Rachel, of Littleton, and Ashley, Mary, Madison and Maura of Readfield; her brother and his wife, Donald and Thelma (Whitman) Ware Jr., of Manchester, Maine; many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews; as well as dear friends Bruce and Peggy Larsen of Littleton.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Littleton Scholarship Trust Fund for a Nursing Scholarship, c/o John Boroski, Brant Lane, Littleton. Please see www.badgerfuner al.com.
