BURNHAM - Katherine Rosetta Gordon, 87. On March 1, 1927, Katherine was born in Providence, R.I. On May 3, 2014, she ended her earthly journey and departed to her Lord and Savior. She will be greatly missed by a large fellowship of friends and family.
Katherine spent her life loving and serving everyone who was blessed enough to come in contact with her. Some of her greatest joys were feeding people, offering spiritual support and loving and caring for everyone in need.
Katherine is survived by her husband of 68 years, Alton Gordon Sr.; her sister, Susie and husband Dion Seymour; four children, Mary E. Ramsdell, Alton Gordon Jr. and wife Cathy, Janet Gordon Colford and her husband, Rodney, and Elizabeth Webster. She also has six grandchildren, Ken Hunt, Jennifer Hunt, Dawn Ramsdell, Allison Gordon, Catie Gordon and Laura Gordon. Her great-grandchildren are Lilly Hunt, Lane Quinn, Ethan Hunt, Destiny Quinn and Samuel New.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Marion (York) Dwelley; three brothers, Bert White, Donald Dwelley and Carlton Dwelley; two sisters, Winnefred Ward and Maxine Green.
A public memorial service will be announced in the near future by the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center 34 High St., Newport.
