Louis was a very generous and giving man and will be truly missed by all those who had the wonderful opportunity to come into contact with him.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at River of Life Church, Somerset Academy Building in Athens, with Pastor James Simpson officiating.

Val and Family-
I am so sorry of your loss. Uncle Louie was so much fun. When I was over there (about 12 years ago-time flies), I can't tell you how wonderful it was to be around you guys and all the thoughtfulness! He truly was a blessing and I loved it when you guys lived with us for that short time. I am excited to see him one day and with our Lord and Savior and give him a big hug. Man-he sure could put a smile on your face. I pray that you and your family are comforted at this time. Lots of love and memories, Mandi

Dear Family, I sit here contemplating the past 24 yrs and wonder why. It breaks my heart to hear that Lou has passed. I sit here remembering my brother, as a four year old being carried on his shoulders around the house. As a 14 year old and the many adventures he took me on in the summer of 1977, the quiet comfort he gave me when my own son Josh was called to Heaven in 1983. The respect he had shown my mother Julia, when she passed the same year. 24 yrs have slipped by and naught we can do about it but weep, and remember. God Bless, Val, Louis, Travis, Shawn, Chip and your families. We will miss Him!

i dont have any personal memories of uncle louie, I was too young when he was around, but that doesn't mean he didn't have an impact on me. I have seen what uncle Louie means to my mom, and the way she laughs when she talks about him, (and it takes a lot to make my mom laugh that hard ask my dad), but somehow he did it effortlessly. I have heard the sincerity in my dads voice when he tells me what a hard worker he is, and my dad doesn't lie. I have also watched the home videos of him making cookies and doing stuff with our family and he's even made me laugh, without even trying to. I guess even though he wasn't someone that I got to meet he was someone that I want to be like. A legacy he left behind that I am honored to have been impacted by. The world will forever miss Uncle Louie for this world is far too short of men like him. I can't even imagine the smile on his face right now as he is standing with Christ. We'll see you soon Uncle Louie, and i'll finally get to actually meet you.

My Dear Family,
Louie is still with us! I see him and his wonderful character traits in each and every member of this family. His loyalty (even in the tough times), humor, generous and giving heart, and love he has for all those around him. He is with Jesus, we will all join him someday. Thank you for who YOU are because of him! I love you! Shelley
