HALLOWELL - Malcolm N. Kenniston, 92, passed away at Woodlands Senior Living facility in Hallowell on Monday, March 17, 2014.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1921, in Pittsfield, the son of Bernard and Mildred (Noble) Kenniston.
Malcolm married Daphne R. Hall on June 6, 1943. He proudly served three years with the 14th Armored Division of the Army.
Fondly known as "Ken," he was employed as an electrician for Hollingsworth and Whitney, and later for Scott Paper Co. for 34 years at its plant in Winslow.
Malcolm is survived by his three children, Nancy Kenniston, of Augusta, Terry Kenniston and wife Linda, of Augusta, and Pat Davies and husband John, of Yarmouth; five grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Sutter, of Oregon, and Muriel Clement, of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Friends Cemetery in North Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to North Fairfield Friends Church Cemetery Association, 793 Garland Road, Winslow 04901, attention Laurie Fenlason.
The family sends a special thank-you to the staff of Woodlands Senior Living for their caring, kind service and good humor during Malcolm's stay with them.
