She was born March 1, 1925, in Middletown, Conn., the daughter of Charles A. and Francis (Ratcliffe) Doebener.
She received her education in Middletown, and married Roger W. Rabadeau on Sept. 16, 1945, and moved to Maine.
Muriel was past matron of the Order of The Eastern Star in Vassalboro. Muriel worked for many years for Depositors Trust Co. in Augusta. While living in Eustis, Muriel worked for Cathedral Pines Campground and for Sugarloaf Mountain.
Muriel is survived by a daughter, Sandra Stratton, of York, S.C.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Perkins and her children, Spenser and Shayna, of Augusta, Amanda Dunn Michaud, her husband, Thomas, and their son, Colby, of Northfield, and Robert Weeks, his wife, Shannon, and children Taylor, Ashley and Brice; Muriel's sister, Marjorie Sabin, of Middletown; and sister-in-law Elizabeth Foster, of Vassalboro; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A committal service for Muriel and Roger will be held at the family lot in Flagstaff Memorial Cemetery in Eustis.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Graybirch Rehabilitation and Glenridge, along with the entire hospice team for the love and assistance you have supplied during the journey for Muriel. You are truly angels on earth.
