Nathan LaPointe Obituary

Nathan Patrick LaPointe
1992 - 2018
WINDSOR - Nathan Patrick LaPointe, son of Tina and Timothy Shorey of Windsor, Stephen and Danielle LaPointe of Gardiner, and Stephanie LaPointe of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly at his home as a result of an unfortunate accident on Jan. 13, 2018. He was born Nov. 8, 1992, in Augusta.
Nathan graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 2011, where he participated in multiple sports.
Nathan is survived by his siblings Cassandra LaPointe, Krystina and Danielle Shorey, Shawna and Cody Rioux, Alex LaPointe, Bradley Carleton, Lindsy and Kylie Smith, and Bobby Foster; nieces Maddison LaPointe and Mckinley Rioux; grandmothers Elaine Smith, Jackie LaPointe, Linda LaPointe and Diane Shorey; great-grandmother Marcia Moody; numerous aunts, uncles; and close friends, Teddy, Fitzy, Ron and his many other partners in crime (You all know who you are….Cherish and remember all the good memories you made, as that is what Nate would have wanted.) Most recently, Nathan was spending a significant amount of time with Kayla Ashline, and her daughter Ava, who he absolutely adored. Nathan was predeceased by his grandfathers Daniel Smith, Ronald LaPointe and Lee Shorey.
Nathan worked at G&E Roofing for many years, but was most recently focused on general construction. Nathan enjoyed the outdoors; snowboarding, hunting and fishing, even if that meant taking a day (or two) off from work. Nathan was a kind hearted son, brother, uncle and friend, who was loved and respected by all who came into his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visiting hours will be from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. A celebration of life will be held at the Gardiner Sportsmans Club immediately following. Please feel free to bring your beverage of choice and celebrate Nathans life the way he would have wanted.

Nate- I cannot even bring myself to accept the fact that you are not here with us. You will be missed, more than you would ever know. My first born nephew, I adored you so much. Chasing you around , when you were a toddler, trying to get hugs and kisses, that were not easy to get. You were always so happy and a joy to have around.
Wherever you are, I hope you are reunited with Papa and that you guys are raising some hell. Perhaps playing a round of golf. Please give him a hug for us and watch over all of us, as we walk this walk without you! Fly High Nate! We love you!
