Patrick Dostie Obituary

AUGUSTA -- A Mass of Christian burial for Patrick L. "Pete" Dostie, who died Nov. 21, 2005, was celebrated Saturday morning, Nov. 26, 2005, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Louis Philips, pastor, officiating.

Altar servers were Lorraine Noel and Mary Ann Roy. Music was provided by organist Kathy Brooks who accompanied the Augusta Catholic Community Resurrection Choir.

The first reading was given by Mr. Dostie's sister, Lucille Weeks, and the second reading was given by another sister, Theresa Dow. Taking part in the offertory procession was Mr. Dostie's brother and sister-in-law, Wilfred and Sally Dostie. The Prayer of the Faithful was read by Pete's brother, Donald Dostie.

There were representatives from St. Augustine parish.

Pallbearers were his brothers, Wilfred Dostie, Michael J. Dostie, Ronald J. Dostie and Donald J. Dostie, along with brothers-in-law Charles Dow and Jeffrey Weeks.

Burial was in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, where the Rev. Philips offered the committal prayers. Military honors were rendered by personnel from Camp Keyes. The American flag was presented to Pete's daughter, Joyce Fudge.

Arrangements were under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.

Dear Family, I haven't seen Pete for quite a while, but he will be sadly missed. We all loved his attitude towards life. My sympathies are with you. Remember the good and it pushes the bad away.
