Peter loved nature and animals. He was the kind of person who left food out for stray cats and doted on his own dog, Sophia. Although he had many struggles in life, including poor health, he kept a wry sense of humor. He was a very spiritual person in his own way and often talked about different times that he experienced God's work in his life. Even when very discouraged, he often managed to think about the larger meaning of daily events. He tried to find ways to reach out to other people and had a very compassionate nature. An avid reader, he loved researching new topics, talking about philosophy and learning new ideas. He was always up-to-date on current events and enjoyed sharing his opinions about what was going on in the world.
Peter is survived by his father, the Rev. Ralph Boisvert; his daughter, Janelle Whisker, of Palm Coast, Fla.; his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Susan Boisvert, of Plano, Texas; his sister, Elizabeth Boisvert, of Portland; and his nieces, Claudia and Julia Boisvert, also of PIano, Texas. He was predeceased by his mother, Claudia Boisvert.
There will be no visiting hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Avenue, Augusta. A private burial service will be in Fryeburg at a later date.
