To the Misner family, Peter always knew how to comfort others. He was always their for me when I needed to talk. He married me and baptized both of my children and also performed the services for my mom. He was truly a blessing to this world. I always enjoyed his church service when I attended church. Peter will be truly missed. May the wonderful memories you all have help you through this most difficult time.

My heart goes out to each of you in Peter's family who has lost your cherished loved one. I give thanks for Peter's life and for the sustaining presence he was for my mom and dad during mom's long illness and passing. I will always appreciate his care in officiating at my wedding three weeks after my mom died, in which my family was still so raw with grief amidst our celebration. The last time I saw Peter was a few years ago, when he bequeathed to me part of his professional library, which I now treasure in my professional work with United Methodist pastors as a psychologist. Rest in peace, Peter, and I offer you my deep gratitude for helping knit the town of Wayne together in love for decades.

Peter was the Spiritual Advisor for the Elvin family of Readfield for many years. He always followed his religious beliefs to the letter and brought much comfort to everyone he came in contact with. My life and my families lives were positively
inhansed by just knowing Peter and trying to follow his advice and spiritual instructions.
We Wish his family comfort, peace and all of GOD's blessings. We look forward to that day when we shall meet in Heaven!!

My condolences to you, Dave, and all of your family. The only time I met your Dad was when he travelled here to marry Marc and Liz, but I enjoyed meeting him then and I was very impressed by how he conducted the ceremony. I know how devastating it is to lose a parent and I am holding you and all of your family in my prayers.

To All the Misner Clan,
My heart is heavy for your (and our) loss. A true man of God, I will always remember his gentle voice, his loving eyes which only saw goodness and light, and his devotion to Our Lord. Oh the many times I heard that laugh as we kids played kickball in the church parking lot. I think between the Misners and the Cotnoirs we pretty much populated Kents Hill. I saw Rev. Misner this past summer when I had one of my dogs at the vets. He had lost much of his memory, but he remembered me by name (he knew how much that meant to people, to be called by name) and we spoke of our families, our faith, the sad passing of my dad and our friendship. When we parted, I told him I loved him, knowing I would probably not see him to tell him again. It's a rare gift and heavenly blessing to grow up with and share parts of our lives with such a man. Thank you, Rev. Dr. Misner, for opening your home and your heart to all of us Cotnoir boys and our sister, Ann. If ever anyone wanted to see the face of Christ, all they needed to do was to look at you! You most certain heard the voice of your Savior saying,"Welcome home, good and faithful servant. Come into the room prepared for you in My Father's Mansion from before all time." God bless and Godspeed, dear man. There is a Heavenly celebration happening! Please know that I will hold you all in my prayers. Jeff C.

Peter was a remarkable man who guided many people through the most difficult, and most joyous, times of their lives with love, compassion, and an uncanny understanding of the needs and wants of every individual. When someone first met Peter, he had the ability to almost innately understand who they were and what they were about. That is a rare ability, and he used it to touch the lives of many. He will be greatly missed.
