Raymond Bisson Obituary

Raymond (Ray) Paul Bisson
1967 - 2018
GARDINER - Raymond (Ray) Paul Bisson, 50, from Gardiner, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 26, 2018. Ray was a resident of Gardiner Maine for the past 20 years, although born and raised in Lewiston on August 18, 1967, to Leo Bisson and Marlene (LeBlanc) Bisson.
He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, and a graduate of University of Southern Maine, with a degree in Economics.
Ray was recently employed by Wal-Mart in Falmouth, as an Assistant Store Manager and formerly worked for L.L Bean as a Supervisor for more than 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne (Bailey) Bisson of 17 years; daughter Jillian Bisson, sons Cody McCutcheon and wife Melinda and children, son Brandon McCutcheon; father Leo Bisson and mother Marlene Bisson; brother Ron Bisson and wife Lisa and children, brother Dave Bisson and fiancé Kelly Harrison and children, brother Travis Bisson and son-In-laws Gerald and Claudia Bailey and Laura Bailey, sister-in-law Belinda Hinkley and husband Lee Hinkley and children, sister-in-law Jen Dearborn and husband Dean Dearborn and children, sister-in-law Alison Nichols and husband Norman Nichols and children, sister-in-law Samantha Bailey and children; and a very special aunt, Mary Tracy.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Leo and Violet (Roy) Bisson, maternal grandparents, Albert LeBlanc, Bob Savard and Connie (Labbe) Savard; and his name sake, uncle, Raymond LeBlanc..
Ray played hockey in high school, was a member of the men's league softball with his father and brothers for many years. He was a huge supporter of Capital Area Youth Softball Association, as well as his children's, grandchildren's, nieces, and nephews' athletics. Ray loved to take his special 'fur' baby Jack-Jack to the waterfront, and watch his sports on TV with his co-pilot Danni.
Ray touched the lives of many people in his community, always had a positive word to say and made a 'fashion' statement as a spectator no matter where he was. He will be missed by many family members and friends.
Graveside committal will held Friday, June 1, at Mount Hope Cemetery in South Gardiner for Immediate family only.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at the Gardiner Waterfront. Feel free to wear your favorite sports attire or the color purple in honor of Ray and his love for both.

It has been a year since Ray left us, and we still feel the void of his leaving all of his family, co-workers, and what he meant to all of us. May God bless is family at this time as well as all who knew and worked, and came to love such a great person.

Ray was such a kind and funny soul. I'm so glad I got to know him. He was a great Assistant Manager at 2659. He loved his family so much, and was so proud of his daughter. My deepest sympathies go out to all his family and friends. I'll always appreciate how he tried to comfort me recently when my Mom passed away. R.I.P my friend. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Ray was such a wonderful co-worker. Allie is right, Ray had a way of getting the rest of us in trouble with his quiet jokes that made us all laugh while he kept a straight face. He cared deeply for his employees. He loved Jillian and his extended family and spoke of them often. Suzanne and family, you have my deepest sympathy.

Oh Ray, how you got me in so much trouble in meetings--muttering things to me that would make me totally crack up while you sat there--innocently and straight faced--and I got the "be quiet" looks from everyone! You never failed to make me laugh (I will never see or hear the phrase "Scottish tweed rain hats" without smiling and thinking of you. Suz, much love and big hugs to you and the kids.
