Richard Michaud Obituary
1944 - 2015
WINDSOR - Richard E. Michaud, age 70, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at his home. He was born in Augusta on Dec. 20, 1944, the son of the late Leonard and Mary A. (Coombs) Michaud. Mr. Michaud was a graduate of Hall-Dale High School and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Gardiner. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Michaud had been employed by Pine State Trading for over 15 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Partridge) Michaud of Windsor; his daughter, Bobbi-Lynn Bishop of Windsor; his brother, Robert Michaud of Chelsea; his granddaughter, Jennifer Bishop of Randolph; stepgranddaughter, Shelly Weston of Hallowell; great-grandson Ross Jr.; stepgreat-grandchildren: Wesley, Walker, Iva, and Idella; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At his request, there will be no public visiting hours. A committal service will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta. Arrangements are under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home, Windsor Chapel, 983 Ridge Rd., Windsor.

Dear Shirley and Family,
I just learned about Dick's passing.
He was one of my students at Hall-Dale
High. I had him teach my Dr. Ed class all about the combustion engine. He knew more about it than I did. Later I would see all of you at mass at St. Joseph's.
Dick was a really fine man.
I know he is looking down at all of us and still watching out for his family.

Dearest Shirley, Bobbi-Lynn and Family. Even though we have been years and miles apart, Dick (and you) have always held a special place in my heart. I was saddened to read the news of Dick leaving this world, but for a better one. I remember fondly the years of Roman Chariot and Cleopatra (KEY9038); the time we "convinced" Dick to try peas, and so many other fond memories. May those happy memories help heal your pain and sadness. I am sure Ed and he will have a great visit in heaven. Hugs and love, Alice.
