Scott Jellison Obituary

Scott Warren Jellison
1959 - 2015
CHEWELAH, Wash. - Scott Warren Jellison passed away suddenly on June 21, 2015, in Chewelah Wash. He was born August 20, 1959, in Gardiner, Maine to Jesse F. Jellison, Sr. and Elaine M. Grenier.
Scott was preceded in death by his son Benjamin Burcham Sr. Scott is survived by his fiancée Brenda Fowler; his parents and step-father Jerry Grenier; brothers, Jesse F. Jellison Jr., and Herman (Tiny) Jellison, sisters Elana Jellison, Karen Merrill, Melissa Pillow, Kristine Jellison, and Rebecca Jellison; son, Courtney Miller, daughter Druscilla Nick; grandchildren Aubrey Burcham, Benjamin Burcham Jr, William Nick, Bryce Burcham, and Warren Nick. Scott also leaves behind nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Scott was an avid outdoors-man and self-taught survivalist. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and farming. He loved reading and watching westerns and felt he was born a century too late.
Scott was able to accomplish many things simply by thinking the process through and trying. He was a superb mechanic, he could do carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Scott loved living his life as minimally as possible, he worked on dairy farms, Hops farms, was a great dry Waller, and did landscaping and installation of lawn sprinkler systems.
Scott did not want to conform to societies "requirements". He was a dreamer and he lived his dreams as best he could. He loved his PBR's, sharing them and swapping stories with family and friends. He was a self-proclaimed philosopher. Scott loved his family with all his heart; he never had a problem telling you he loved you. Scott kept in touch with his family with telephone calls, he would call his family to visit and to tell them he loved them on holidays – or whenever he felt the need. He spent most of his life out west or in the mid-west – the time difference made for some late night or early morning calls for his family in Maine – but the calls always ended with I love you.
Scott loved his family and friends and was always the life of the party; he would not shy away from playing the clown or joking around. Children and animals loved his gentle soul. He could befriend the shyest of children with his soft spoken manner.
Scott served as an MP in the Army during the 1970's. He spent most of his military career stationed in Alaska.
There will be a family celebration of Scott's life in Maine.

I am so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. I went to Chelsea Elementary where we graduated together from 8th grade. And while I haven't had any contact with him since that time, this breaks my heart as I think very fondly of all my classmates from Chelsea. I pray he enjoyed life to the fullest. To lose two loved ones in such a short space of time is grief beyond belief. My condolences to all of his family and friends. RIP, Scott.
