Tabitha Edmondson Obituary

AUGUSTA -- Tabitha A. Edmondson, age 30, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 23, 2011, at her home.

She was the most wonderful, loving, caring, special wife and mother that could ever be. She was the most beautiful person inside and out. Dan and Tabitha's special place was Bermuda, where they vacationed several times yearly. She was Dan's soulmate and his best friend. Dan loved her with all his heart. Dan and Tabitha were inseparable and cherished every minute of every day together. Dan felt like he was the luckiest guy in the world to be married to Tabitha. There are no words to describe the love Dan had for her and the pain he feels without her. Dan will love her with all his heart forever, and his heart will be permanently broken without her. She was the love of his life. Tabitha loved spending time with her husband and family. She doted and adored her son, Wyatt, and step-children, Bo and Taylor. Dan and Tabitha enjoyed going for walks together and taking their son to the park. They all meant the world to her. They loved her with all of their hearts.

She was born in El Paso, Texas, on Oct. 15, 1980, the only child of William and Leanne (Hutchings) Choate, to whom she meant the world.

Mrs. Edmondson was a graduate of Hall-Dale High School, class of 1998, where she was salutatorian of her class. She was the co-owner of Maine Professional Hearing Center and The Perfect Gift with her husband, Dan, for the last eight years. Tabitha had an artistic gift and talent that she used to create beautiful and personal gift baskets that allowed her customers to express their love and appreciation for others. She had a passion to make each and every gift basket with love and care. Tabitha was very artistic and creative. She loved dance and art and especially gardening. She was also an unbelievable cook.

She is predeceased by maternal grandparents Conrad and Mary (Morang) Hutchings. She is survived by her husband of six years, Daniel E. Edmondson, of Augusta; her son, who was everything to her, Wyatt E. Edmondson, of Augusta; two step-children whom she loved dearly, Bo D. Edmondson and Taylor D. Edmondson, of Augusta; her parents, William and Leanne (Hutchings) Choate, of Farmingdale; paternal grandparents Richard and Virginia (Blake) Choate; mother-in-law Nancy Herlihy, of Waterville, who also loved her dearly, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

At her request, there will be no visiting hours or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send any type of perennial bulbs or plants to be planted around our home. There was nothing more that Tabitha loved than having flowers and plants, and she and her mom enjoyed planting. It would mean a lot to see them blooming every year in her memory. Please send or deliver to the Edmondson family at 226 Western Ave., Augusta, ME 04330.

Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. Condolences may be expressed via the funeral home's website at www.plummerfh.com.

To Tabitha's Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Tabitha about 7 years ago because that is where I always buy my glasses frames. I would run in and out on the spur of the moment and Tabitha would replace the screw in my glasses or a nose piece. We chatted just two weeks ago as I browsed the entire store relishing the baskets and special gifts in each room. Tabitha always found time to smile and chat. She always made me feel special. I will miss her. God Bless you all.
