Thomas Dumont Obituary
1948-2014
CLINTON - Thomas A. Dumont, 65, passed away September 3, 2014 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta surrounded by his family. He was born October 12, 1948 in Augusta, the son of Joseph A. and Gloria H. (LaJoie) Dumont.
He was educated in local area schools and worked for Labors Union as his most recent employment, he also worked at G & S Sand and Rock of Mayer, Arizona. He loved to work in the woods, play cribbage, pool, collected stamps, rare coins, and antique Match Box cars.
He is survived by his son, Thomas A. Dumont, Jr. and wife Matt of Augusta; daughter, Shawannrae Drayton of Augusta; mother, Gloria H. Dumont of Clinton; 4 grandchildren, Johanna, Cory, Alex, Emma Drayton; 4 brothers, Anthony Dumont of Augusta, Peter Dumont and wife Joyce of Oakland, Russell Dumont and wife Loralee of Augusta, Michael Dumont and wife Larilee of Vassalboro; sister, Susan Bennett and husband Gene of Clinton; special nephew, Nicholas Dumont of Vasselboro; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barabra (Pearl) Dumont; father, Arthur Joseph Dumont; sister, Donna H. Towers and brother, Daniel A. Dumont.
A graveside service will be held October 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Corner Cemetery, Tradiff Road, Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make do nations in his memory to Wounded Warriors, P.O. Box 758512, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8512.
