He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (Eames) Richardson; his three children, Timothy L. Richardson, Jr. and wife Rene of Lancaster, Mass., Janna (Richardson) Vogel and husband Stephen of South Grafton, Mass., and Peter K. Richardson and wife Sara of Gallatin Gateway, Mont.; three brothers, Theodore and wife Virginia of Kittery, Maine, Thomas and late wife Mary of Palmyra, Maine, Teal of Pittsfield, Maine; and two sisters, Janie Plisga and husband Gary of Katy, and Cheryl Bahn and husband Butch of York New Salem, Pa. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Mark Vogel, and Mia Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.
After growing up in Maine, Tim joined the Navy, where he was a boatswain's mate on a destroyer. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1960. Shortly after, he met Barbara, originally from Skowhegan, Maine, and they were married on May 13, 1961. They moved to Holliston in 1963 and began a family a few years later. Timothy worked at Raytheon Co. for 37 years as a design engineer.
Throughout his life, Tim enjoyed many activities. While his children were young, he was a soccer and Little League baseball coach. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Mary's Parish, where he was a CCD teacher for many years, former president of the Mr. and Mrs. Club, member of the Adult Folk Group, and leader of the Youth Folk Group for 19 years. He enjoyed spending time with his golf buddies and especially with his loving, devoted family, with whom he found great strength and pleasure.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in St. Mary's Church of Holliston. A private interment will take place in the spring of 2012 with his family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Huguley Memorial Medical Center, in memory of Timothy Richardson, Attn: Laurie Evans, P.O. Box 6337, Forth Worth, TX 76115 or to the American Cancer Society.

Dear Barbara: I just got home from St. Mary's 11:30 mass where there was an announcement made about Tim's passing. I was not aware or I would have been there at the service yesterday.
Please know that you and your children are in my prayers. Tim was a good man and gave so much of himself in everything he did. He was a power of example of how a Christian should live. He was loved and admired by many. No question he will reap his rewards in eternal life.
I'm sorry I don't have your Texas address or I would be in touch with you.
Our love to all of you.
