Bill was one reason I became a Hunter Safety Instructor and found a great way to educate people young & old. His love of the outdoors was infectious and he will be remembered and missed by many. I'm so very sorry for you're loss.

I served with Bill in the Naval Reserve which drilled years ago at the old Naval Reserve Center in Capitol Park, now home to the Augusta Police Department. He was not only a 4.0 sailor but a cheerful shipmate. Taps to him as he crosses the bar. I regret that I'm in Florida and unable to attend his funeral.

All I can say is what a wonderful man Bill was. I remember when he used to come to the Maine Veterans Home and cut the mens hair. He was always so pleasant and patient. Always had a smile on his face.
He was truly one of a kind. He will be greatly missed. My sympathy to all of the family. Cherish all of your wonderful memories.
