Zachary Wood Obituary
1986 - 2015
WEST GARDINER - Zachary Farrington Wood, 29, a resident of Neck Road in West Gardiner, passed away on Oct. 11, 2015, at his home. He was born in Blue Hill on Sept. 2, 1986, the son of Patricia Rogerson Money and Paul V. Wood. Zach attended Helen Thompson Elementary school in Gardiner, Gardiner Middle School, and graduated in 2004 from Hundred Hwoo Comprehensive School in Hwoo, Strood, England.
Zach had worked as a picker for Progressive in Winthrop before becoming disabled in a motorcycle accident. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, disc golf and had a big heart when it came to helping his friends with anything that needed to be done. He loved spending time with his daughter, Aliyah. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends sitting around a bonfire.
He is survived by his mother and her husband, Patricia and Alec Money from Swadlincote, Derbyshire, England, his father, Paul V. Wood of Brunswick; his daughter, Aliyah J. Wood and her mother, Patricia Watkins, both of Madison; sister, Kourtney A. Wood of Melbourne, Australia, sister, Sydney M. Money of Swadlincote, Derbyshire, England, brother, Jordan J. Wood of North Naples, Fla.; grandmothers, Beverly J. Rogerson of West Gardiner, and Gwendolyn Wood of Bucks Harbor, grandfather, Roger C. Rogerson and his wife, Cheryl of Randolph; and many aunts, uncles; and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Vernon M. Wood.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, at BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main St., Monmouth. Visiting hours 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at

Such a shock to hear this news. Taken far far too young. As we leave school and grow up many of our fellow class mates become just a name or a face that we can not quite picture, this however wouldnever have been the case for you. You were such a character making us all laugh day in day out i am sure that not a single person has forgotten you and im sure non of us will. Thank you for the laughs. It's really hard to put anything into words. There's nothing I can say to take away the pain. I stayed with you for 10 days and what a blast that was. Yet through your mum, I knew you a lot longer.
