My great memories of Art live on. I walk our dogs up at Poland Spring often and it was a place in the summer that Art and I used to visit almost weekly in the summer to collect golf balls lost in the water near the 5th hole. We went in by boat, fishing our way there and back. We'd find a bunch of balls and sell them back to golfers for 25 cents a piece- often coming home with $10 in each of our pockets! Camping in Art's backyard, fishing with brothers Ron & Phil - all wonderful memories... While we lost track of each other for several years, Art was great at reaching out and we met a few times a month for lunch- and even took a boat trip on Lower Range Pong to the golf course to relive our childhood days. I miss you my friend...

Deb, I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Art's sudden passing. I remember the many times he volunteered in our classroom, how the children and I enjoyed his humor and kind nature. I'm so sorry...

Debbie;
You are in our prayers to help make sense of this loss of a husband. Art was so happy the day he told me you two were getting married. It was so nice to see a man that worked at making others lives happy now enjoying happiness with you in his life. Art was one of the kindest friends I have ever know. His smile and cheerfulness will be missed but I will never forget Art Marcoux; the best of good people! RIP friend!

Deb and all the Marcoux family, We were shocked and saddened by the news of Art's passing. Thank you for the phone call. Both March babies, Art and I were friends in our mothers' wombs. I loved our visits to Maine when I got to tag along with Art and his friends. He was always so kind. He taught me to play golf. With his expert teaching, I could hit the ball straight as an arrow, but only about 30 feet. That round must have been torture for him, but his patience and graciousness were amazing. I will treasure your visit last summer when Art called us "family." It was one of the proudest moments of my life. So sorry we can't be there for the funeral. We will tell Dad the sad news in person when we return from Minnesota.

Debbie, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Sorry we didn't stop to give you a hug when we saw you at MMC, but we were anxious to see Art's sister, who had been admitted. Blessings, Art and Marlene

Dear Deb, how blessed am I to have been your maid of honor on July 4, 1992 and to have called Art my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers. You are one of the dearest friends I have and I hope you can find peace with knowing where Art is now and that we will all see him again one day. He is saving seats for you and I and probably has a softball team all set up for our arrival. I am truly sorry for your loss.

So many memories with Art.

He would try any food item at least once and was the easiest person to please at dinner time. You never had to ask him twice to sit down for a meal.

The Boston wine expo was a favorite event and he spent his time moving deliberately and quickly between the wine vendors and the food demonstrations. He always brought a wine expo bag from a previous year, rather than waiting in line for a new bag, to maximize the time spent actually tasting wines.

He also enjoyed exploring the breweries in the Portland area and introduced us to quite a few.

He was generous with his time and would help anyone if he was able. He was kind and thoughtful and someone you could count on. I always got an immediate hug when we saw each other and he would sit and rub my back if he thought I was stressing out.

Most of all, he loved my aunt more than anything and understood her better than anyone.

We miss you already you were a fixture at every holiday and celebration, and it won't be the same without you.
