Charles Noble Obituary

Charles Albert
Noble, Sr., 65
POLAND - Charles "Charlie" Albert Noble, Sr., 65, died on Oct. 16, 2015 at the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, with his family by his side. He was born in Portland on Nov. 6, 1949, the son of Albert, Sr. and Lorna (Foster) Noble.
Charlie grew up in the Little Falls and North Gorham areas of Gorham, attended local schools, and graduated from USM. He went on to teach middle school science at several different schools, St. Mary's in Augusta, Poland Community School, and the Bruce M. Whittier Middle School in Poland. Charlie was also a Manager/Ranger for a few of the Maine State Parks. He coached many different sports, both for his children as they grew up, and through the school district, and was a Youth Leader at the Stroudwater Baptist Church. As Charlie got older, he replaced his coaching with time spent in his garden. Growing tomatoes and green beans, and then learning how to can, making the "World's Best" dilly beans. He was a kind and generous man, who loved his family, and had great joy spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Charlie is survived by his wife of eight years, Alista; son, Charles "Chip" Noble, Jr. and wife Amy of Yarmouth, daughter, Chelsie Lohmann and husband Mark of Poland, step-daughters, Lanci Thorne and husband Tony, and Rebecca Thibeau; grandchildren, Abby and Emma Noble, Victoria and Elizabeth Tibbetts, Dustin Comeau and Tayla Smith, and Alana, Isaac, Jada, and Darian Tuttle; brothers, Albert Noble, Jr. and wife Deborah of Buxton, and William Noble and wife Kelly of Lewistion, sisters, Mary Anne Noble and fiancé Larry Johnson of Boothbay, and Karen L. Rodrigue and husband Patrick of Augusta; aunt Connie Erickson and uncle George Foster, both of Gorham.
A period of visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham. Burial will be private at a later date. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com.

Charlie wasn't my teacher but my little brother's as well as someone he and all of his friends looked up to. May our white light and your memories hold you through this tough time.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.

Mary Anne and family, Thoughts and prayers are with you all. May GOD wrap his arms around you all and give you comfort.
