Christopher Treadwell Obituary
HOLLIS -- Christopher James Treadwell, age 39, of Plains Road, passed away on April 28, 2011 at his home as a result of diabetes complications.
He was born in Biddeford on Feb. 1, 1972, a son of Gerry and Claudia (Ramsey) Treadwell.
He attended Bonny Eagle High School and worked for many years as a parts salesman for various automotive companies.
Christopher will always be remembered for his love of music and animals.
He was an avid guitar player and played in several bands over the years. His skill for building and repairing guitars was known by many.
Christopher is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, William Treadwell and his maternal grandmother, Mildred Ramsey.
He is survived by his parents, Gerry and Claudia Treadwell of Buxton; brothers, Rick Treadwell of Nebraska and Todd Treadwell of Georgia, fiance, Kelly Quinn of Hollis; paternal grandmother, Helen Treadwell of Saco, maternal grandfather, John Ramsey of Gorham; two nieces; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, May 3, from 6-7 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. funeral service at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd) in Buxton (Bar Mills). Pastor Laura Holt-Haslam will officiate. Burial arrangements will be announced at the service. www.dcpate.com

My heart breaks for everyone who knew and loved Chris.

Mine is not a name you would ever recognize, but Chris and I went to Junior and Senior High together. I moved away from Maine and had lost touch with Chris until we started talking again on Facebook. He was a good friend who could always make me laugh.

I was very sorry to learn of Christopher's passing. We were room mates at the hospital last July and I was impressed by him as a real gentleman. Special condolences to his ever faithful Kelly Quinn. May God rest his soul and comfort yours.

Oh Smed, so many fond memories over the years. To walking in a snowstorm, jamming, visiting...having fun. You sold me my first motorcycle a few years ago, gave us a great pleasure. I know you've had a rough time over the last few years and so thankful we reconnected over the last year my friend. You will be missed more than you will ever know. Guess it was time for the Lord to call you home. Another Angel above.....we love and miss you Chris.....Rock On up there!!!! So when a thunderstorm rolls in, we will know it's you jammin!
