'Was just thinking about Dr. Holmes today, and then tonight I found out that he had passed.... David Holmes, as Academic Dean, was my advisor my junior year at Hollins College, when he had enough faith in my abilities to permit me to take nine courses a semester, instead of the norm of four courses. I have been grateful to him, and have remembered him and spoken of him with great appreciation ever since! May he rest in peace and eternally in the presence of the heavenly chorus of angels making their celestial music!
