Teresa Beaver, 72
STANDISH - Elizabeth 'Betsy' Teresa Beaver, age 72, passed away Sept. 26, 2013, after a period of declining, health at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born in Rome, N.Y. on Aug. 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth 'Betty' Beaver.
For many years, Betsy worked in MSAD #6's Lunch Program. Most recently, Betsy occupied her time by volunteering 1000's of hours knitting and crocheting, hats, scarves, blankets and mittens for cancer patients at Maine Medical Center and Barbara Bush Children's Hospital.
She is survived by her sons, Lance Smythe of Biddeford and David Smythe of Old Orchard Beach; brother, Anthony 'Tony' Beaver of N.Y. and three grandchildren. A Roman Catholic memorial service to celebrate Betsy's life will be held on Friday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts. 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd) in Buxton (Bar Mills) www.DCPate.com

I was shocked to hear that Besty had passed away, as i have'nt seen her at dialysis for about a week and now I know why.Betsy now that you have crossed over I won't be saying "hi" to you amy more. I will miss you and your smiling face and miss talking to you when I check out at dialysis. Another family member passed on but, not forgotten. With all my love. I will see you again when it is my turn to go to meet my maker
