To Linda, Karen and Dave, I am sorry for your loss. Your parents were the best. I remember Mom and Dad taking us out to the stand on weekends, Betty working there, and my father always going to chat with your Dad. It is sad we lost touch over the years. Now My parents, your parents and Betty are all together again. My prayers are with you all. I will tell you as I was told when my family passed. Your dad is painfree now, he has waited a long time to go home to your Mother, he was a wonderful, caring, giving man. He will be welcomed by God and will watch over you and your families.

My condolences are extended to the Gutter family in this difficult period. I remember Gene from many years of attending functions at the American Post 76, even when I was a teenager. In the recent past, I spent time during my visits back to Scarborough playing cribbage with Gene and other veterans at the Legion. He was known to be a quite independent, but aren't all true Mainers, even those originally "from away." Gene will be missed, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
