To the family of Dr. Buttner,

I worked for Dr. Buttner from about 1981 to about 1983. He was just wonderful to me. I was recently divorced and trying to support my family. He knew I had no money. He was so caring I couldn't believe it. One day he asked me why I didn't smile. I told him because I was missing a lot of teeth and when I smiled it looked terrible. He worked on my teeth for nothing only charging me what he was charged for the bridges. He was such a caring man. He met Pat when I was working for him and I know how much he adored her. I am so happy that you had some wonderful years together. Dr. Buttner is a wonderful memory in my life and I know that he will be rewarded in Heaven for the wonderful things that he did.

To The Family of Dr. Buttner,

When I was a junior in high school, there was a job posting for a dental assistant in Sudbury. I went for an interview and started work with Dr. Buttner shortly there after. From the minute I walked through the door, I was treated like family. In fact, some of my fondest memories were working with both Dr. Buttner and Pat. (At one point there were so many Pat's in the office that we all had nicknames; I was Peppermint Patty :)
I was a yong lady that lacked confidence and self-esteem. Dr. Buttner believed in me. He was one of the best teachers/mentors I ever had and I am so grateful. We worked hard and he kept us laughing with his unique sense of humor.
I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Buttner's passing. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

Sincerely,

Patty (Bongiorno) Crowley

P.S. My cousin is Kristen Capello and I sent her to Dr. Buttner to have her smile fixed.

To the family of Dr. Buttner,

I became a patient of Dr. Buttner in the mid 80's. I used to go in for cleanings and Dr. Buttner noticed that I was always hiding my smile. I had braces for many years before but I had a broken front tooth and it had never been fixed properly. It was then Dr. Buttner invited me into his office to talk about how he could fix my smile. In 1988 these procedures were new and he was very excited about how he could help me.
He sent me out to a a lab in Watertown and I met with a man who showed my what I could look like. Shortly after that I spent alot of time with Dr. Buttner and his wonderful staff, a process that took over a month. When the procedure was done I was a different person. I went on to great success in my career and have an album full of wedding pictures with the biggest smile imaginable. He was a kind, gentle man who had such a positive impact on my life. I was sorry to learn of his passing this morning. I remember him talking about all of his adventures. Life is a journey and it seems he lived his life to the fullest.

My deepest condolences to you all, I hope you find comfort in your memories.
