Frederick 'Fred' Charles Wheeler, 54
CAPE NEDDICK -- Frederick 'Fred' Charles Wheeler, 54, of Cape Neddick, died on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at his home in the loving care of his family.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1956, in Springfield, Mass., the son of Fred and Vivian (Martel) Wheeler. Fred graduated from Chicopee High School and furthered his education at United Technical Institute. He was the owner and manager of Strawberry Auto Shop and later worked at Kris Way Truck Lease Company in Portland.
Fred was an avid soccer fan, loved the beach, and enjoyed his yard. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, but his biggest love was the new life that he was building with his wife, Dianne (Hume) Wheeler.
He was predeceased by his mother, Vivian. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Dianne; his sons, Jason Wheeler and his wife Jamie of Portland, Danny Wheeler and his wife Tree of Wells, Tim Wheeler and Telishia of Kittery, and Josh Wheeler of Wells; his step sons, Drew Brodie and his partner Scott Beaudoin of Methuen, Mass., Josh Brodie and Kristen of Winthrop, Mass., and Devin Brodie of Merrimac, Mass.; his father, Fred Wheeler of Warren, Vt.; his sister, Joan Aubin of Claremont, N.H.; and seven grandchildren.
Friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, May 4, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Rd., Wells. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m., at Holy Spirit Parish at St. Mary's Church on Eldridge Road in Wells.
