J. Bollinger Obituary

J. Boyd Bollinger, 60
     BRUNSWICK -- J. Boyd Bollinger, 60, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at his home.
     He was born in Providence, R.I., July 24, 1946, the son of John G. and Pauline Burton Bollinger. He graduated from St. John's Catholic School, Cheverus High School and from Marquette University in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army during the early 1970s. Mr. Bollinger has been with his wife Kathryn, since 1983.
     Boyd wintered in Florida as a young adult, where he worked in hotel management. He managed New Meadows Inn in West Bath and owned and operated Dairy Frost on the Bath Road since the mid 1970s.
     He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and was food coordinator for St. John's Bazaar for many years. He was a former member of Brunswick Rotary Club. He enjoyed his family and friends, traveling and playing golf.
     Surviving besides his wife, Kathryn are two sons, Christopher P. Hart of North Branford, Conn., and Alec B. Bollinger of Brunswick; his mother and father-in-law, Michael and Marie Lanzarone; three sister-in-laws, Joanne Hart and her husband Richard, Lucille Lanzarone and Benita Lanzarone, all of Bath; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
     A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3, at St. John the Baptist Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
