June, We are so sorry for your loss. While I did not know David and Dan I see by the write ups and memories that you were a close family. Please extend our thoughts and prayers to them and the rest of the family. As you know the NSP is a family too. Tom was a father of sorts to all of us at one point or another. His deep knowledge of NSP history (both Nationally and regionally) were always appropriately reflected upon and used when delivering a teach point to one student or addressing a group in Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) or with Instructor Design (ID) courses. Additionally, I learned so much more about the deep history of ski manufacturing equipment developed and built in Maine. I also spent a few trips up into the county to Blue Rock Mtn we would just talk about philosophical ideas and approaches to new training methods. It made a 10 hour round trip seem very worth it! He was a true pioneer for the OEC program as we migrated from Advanced First Aid to WEC then to OEC. His training methods and scope will always be with us. We have lost a great friend and a distinguished ambassador of the NSP. We will do our best to live up the example he expected of us. Rest in Peace Tom.

June, David and Danny. I was shocked to hear about Tom. It is a sad day for everyone whom will never have the privilege to partake in one of Tom's stories. I remember when I first met him, I was 16 or 17, June and I were water skiing. He seemed so cold and uncaring. OH, how wrong I was. His NSP training was tough, but with purpose. He was part of the process when I got My NSP National Number, 11848. Everyone that knew him will never forget him.
