Today is my mom's birthday, the first one since she died. Someone told me that all the "firsts" are going to be difficult. We've decided to celebrate her birthday together, and we will gather later with family and a few friends at Mike's Clam Shack, one of her favorite restaurants. And as we enjoy our meal, I will remember "save room for dessert," mom's oft-repeated theory on how best to end a meal. It is these little things that I will miss about her. It is also for these little things that I am a better person, and I am very thankful for her influence in my life. I love you, Mom

To Joy's family:

I am so sad to hear about Joy's passing. I knew Joy for about 18 years-we met when we started working together in Wells. What I love about Joy-well- she lived up to her name! She was always up for something fun, she was always ready to have a good time, always smiling and ready for a laugh. That is my mental picture of Joy, the one that will stay in my heart.

My condolences to Mark, Michael, Robert, and the rest of her family. I LOVE YOU JOY!!

Joy was my friend for 19 years. We started working together in retail in Wells and later I joined her at the campground. She was the truest friend I ever had. Always that smile. I'll never forget that smile. Joy was loyal and always there whenever a friend needed her. I will miss her so much.

I want to extend my sincere and deepest sympathy to Michael and Mark, Lynn and Shelly and Robert and to the rest of Joy's family.

I also want to thank them for asking me to share in the services.

It is truly an honor!!

Joy was like a second mom to me, especially after I lost my mom in 1991. She was also a very dear friend to me and we had many happy times together, both in Wells and Bermuda. She was a very important part of my life and my family. My prayers and love go out to all of you.

Joy and I were classmates at Glens Falls High. She was a bright light in my life and the many other people in her life. I am deeply saddened by her passing. The photo of her that you shared with us captures her contagious smile, so perfectly. Someone once said, "the day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of eternity". May she enjoy eternity as much as she enjoyed life.....and as we enjoyed her. Please accect my deepest sympathies. Regards, Bud Streter..GFHS class of '58...

Psalm 23

My Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen

My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with your family.
