Kenneth Coughlin Obituary

Kenneth Donald Coughlin, 38
LIMINGTON-- Kenneth Donald Coughlin, age 38, of Limington, passed away on April 25, 2012 in Philadelphia, Penn.
Ken was born in Portland on Nov. 3, 1973, a son of Kenneth Coughlin and Cathy Moore.
He graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 1993. On July 7, 2001 he joined Jennifer Castaldo in marriage at St. Joseph's church in Biddeford.
Kenny worked faithfully and tirelessly for National Distributors for many years. He will best be remembered for the unyielding passions in his life, his wife and sons always first, the Dallas Cowboys, 80's rock and his friends. Kenny was also an avid NASCAR and NY Mets fan and enjoyed playing softball. He truly was a supportive, amazing friend who touched the lives of many always wearing his heart and his mind on his sleeve. Kenny possessed an honest, determined spirit which will continue to live on in the deep bonds he formed among us.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer (Castaldo) Coughlin; his twin eight year old boys, Jacob and Casey Coughlin; father, Kenneth Coughlin and his wife Liz of Gorham; mother, Cathy Moore of Connecticut; siblings, Jamie Coughlin of Gorham, Matthew Villacci of Portland and Katie Villacci of Lewiston; father and mother-in-law, Carmine and Donna Castaldo of Waterboro; maternal grandparents, Elwyn 'Buddy' Sturgis and his wife Betty of Florida; five nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and co-workers.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday evening, May 1, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd) in Buxton (Bar Mills). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, Dora Lane (off Rt. 11) in Limerick. Burial will follow at South Buxton Cemetery. www.DCPate.com

I didn't closely work with Kenny but talked to him regularly while working at Tony's Foodland. He was very good at his job and talked spiritedly about his sons. I will miss seeing his happy face in the store. My prayers go out to his family during this very difficult time.

My husband and I were friends with Kenny in highschool and since then saw him occasionally over the years. This past school year our daughter entered Kindergarten at Hollis Elementary which reconnected us to Kenny on a more regular basis. Chatting with him at school dismissal time was fun and I especially loved seeing him as a Daddy and Husband. It was obvious that his family meant the world to him! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time of loss. May his legacy live on through his boys and through all who were blessed to know and love him.

Growing up I lived two houses away from Kenny and his family and spent a lot of time at his house. Unfortunately as adults our paths only crossed a few times. I will always remember him for being such a good 'kid' with a heart of gold. He surely was taken from us way too soon.
