Mabel A. Hanson, 76
    KENNEBUNK -- Mabel A. Hanson, 76, former owner of Mabel's Lobster Claw, died at her home in Kennebunk on Saturday, June 2, 2007.
     She was born April 25, 1931, on the Boston and Maine Railroad, to the late John and Agnes Smith. She attended Natick schools. She married Ralph V. Hanson on Sept. 12, 1948. They lived and raised their family in Wellesley, Mass.
     Mabel and Ralph summered on Mousam Lake in Maine and then moved to Kennebunkport in 1970. She operated Mabel's Lobster Claw on Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport for 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling around the world and visited many countries.
     Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, and is survived by her daughter, Victoria Tripp of Fontana, Calif.; her daughter and her husband, Jane and Robert Lindsey of Kennebunkport; her son and wife, Mark and Cilla Hanson of West End, N.C.; and twins Dana Hanson of Kennebunkport and Donna Hanson of Wareham, Mass.; six grandchildren, Dawn Tripp Bellingham, Mass., and Julie Mulrey of Mendon, Mass., Rachel and Robert Lindsey Jr. of Kennebunkport, and Blake and Lauren Hanson of West End, N.C.; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Bassett of Milford, Mass.; she was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Tenney of Medway, Mass. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
     Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday June 5, 2007, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martha's Church, Portland Road, Kennebunk. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Cemetery, Pond Street, Natick, Mass.
