Margaret Gordius Obituary
TAMPA, Fla. -- Margaret N. Gordius, formerly of South Portland, passed away Jan. 25, 2010, in Tampa, Fla. while visiting her grandson, Michael Gordius. Most recently she made her home with her son, Durward F. Gordius Jr. and his wife Lesley, in Flowery Branch, Ga.
She was born on Cranberry Island on Oct. 28, 1921, the daughter of Gladys and Dudley Burton. Her beloved husband of 65 years, Durward F. Gordius Sr., passed away in 2006.
Margaret is also survived by one daughter, Cheryl S. Westcott and husband John of Upton, Mass.; one sister, Eva Adams of South Portland; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
