Michael Stanley Obituary
LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Michael died unexpectedly at his home in Lakewood, Colo. on March 14, 2018. He was born June 6, 1972, in Falmouth, Maine to Anne (Rines) Stanley and James G. Stanley, Jr.
He graduated from Greely High School and then the University of Northern Colorado. He settled in Colorado after graduation, where he pursued his interest in photography.
He is survived by his mother Anne of Falmouth and his father James of Durham, numerous aunts and uncles and his dog Duncan who was his best friend and his emotional support in recent years.
A family memorial will be held at a later date.

I am so sorry for your lose - I have known Mike since middle school and I can honestly say while at age 12 he drove me crazy , well by age 14 he was a good friend and has remained in my heart ever since - hugs and prayers to your family.

I will always remember the selfless way you threw yourself into things; organizing relief for wildfire victims, helping me move a whole house with less than a days notice, and giving hours of instruction to our photography interns. You always had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. Love you and will miss you always.

Bear will be sorely missed. He was a one of my first friends in Colorado, a great walking partner, maker of mead, and all-around great guy. I am sad he is gone. My condolences to his family and friends.

Although, I never met you I know your Father, Jim and your step-mother, Barbara.
What we all should hold onto "is that love is stronger than everything ... stronger even than death. Once you have been loved ... that love will always be with you. You will never be alone."
