It is nice to see this reminder of Peter. Peter you will be interested to know that there will be a tour of Brackett cemetery on Sept 12, I think I will try to sneak a little something in memory of Peter Sterling in there. Why not, I am sure you have Brackett blood in there somewhere. You think of us, and we'll think of you on that date.

A friend, a neighbor, a brother! May you find comfort in the Celestial Sky above. Your friendly smile, recognizable laugh, and gentleman demeanor made you a great person. May Louise and family find the strength to move forward, the courage to persevere, and comfort knowing how many lives he touched! He is a special person.

Our family sends condolences to the family. We met Peter on numerous occasions on Peaks when he and Louise were either coming or going, or when he stopped in to say hi to Judy at the cottage. He always seemed to be in a good mood and had a twinkle in his eye. Funny that upon last seeing him, I meant to ask him if he'd tell me son about HAM radio, how it worked and why it was important. I can see that Peter will be missed by those that knew him. I think he will also be missed by those that might not have known him yet...as I am sure he had much to share. Thank you Peter, and rest well.

Oh my sweet Peter, our paths have been connected more as a brother and sister for so many years. You and Louise are both two of the best people I've ever known. Our coffee chats, at your grandparent cottage (where I have been for the past several years), our sharing of pictures of family members passed, tears along with the laughs I will cherish forever. I still have the picture here in the cottage of Bently, my sister Wendy, you and me when we were four and five. You've all left me, but will be in my heart forever.
Being here on Peaks Island has been a blessing thanks to you and Louise, lots of family history and you getting to know my family as your's and Louise's, so wonderful. You went far to soon, but you join some pretty wonderful friends and family all waiting to receive you. You always had a smile on your face and I will miss you every single day. I will keep an eye on your sweet Louise, she knows I'm always just a few minutes away. I Love You!

This evening I just learned of Peter's passing. I will always remember Pete as a good friend, fellow ham radio operator, lodge brother and confidant. There are so many great qualities I could mention about Pete but will not as those who knew him know them as well. My thoughts are with Louise and the rest of Peter's family. I am certain that Pete's wonderful spirit will continue to influence those of us who remain on earth. May God bless you Peter. You will never be forgotten.

Dear Louise and family. I was shocked and saddened to read of Peter's passing. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you. It seems like just yesterday that I saw you folks at the Maine Veteran's Home volunteering calling Beano for the residents. May you and your family hold steadfast to all the memories of Peter that were shared. With lots of love and sympathy.

My condolences to the Sterling family. I worked with him at the state liquor store at northgate shopping center back in 1981. Real nice guy to work with.

What a wonderful photo of Peter showing his laughing eyes and warm smile. I will miss opening up my email to find the funny jokes and stories you sent to me, and I will miss sharing "subs" and chips with you and Louise on the porch at the Fifth Maine. You were a true Mainiac and a link for me back to our old family days on Peaks Island. Enjoy heaven and send me a funny story! Heartfelt sympathy to dear Louise.
