I can see the sign in my head as we would turn into the bumpy driveway at camp, "Pop". I can hear your voice in my head calling everyone darlin and hunny. I can feel the gentle wind agaisnt my face driving across the saw dust pile on the front of your fourwheeler. I can still smell the familiar comforting smell of cigarettes and mint gum when you'd hug me. I can see you sitting on the front porch of camp with that glow you always had when family was there, listening to country- just enjoying life. I can still hear the praise you gave when catching the smallest of sunfish off the end of the dock. I still remember getting up first thing in the morning and you would always be sitting there in the front window with a cup of coffee and we would sit there-just you and me. I will never forget listening for loons at twilight with you and aunt flo. Pup I will never forget the true love of the woods you instilled in my heart. I want to thank you for giving me such a wonderful father. I will forever be greatful to you for teaching me to appreciate nature and the more simple things in life. I am happy that you can finally rest with nan, flo and my grampy. I love you pup, rest in peace.

I find comfort knowing your in a better place, and you are finally with your "Sandy Mae". You've waited so long to see that pretty face again. I would like to thank you for being the BEST Grandfather you could be. I share so many memories with you. You always liked to tell the one about bringing me to the Old Country Buffet the best, you must have told that one a thousand times. As a child I loved spending time with you. Remember how I would purposely miss the school bus so you would have to drive me everyday? Every summer I would get to spend a couple of weeks at Camp, just you and I. Every night just before dark we would take our 4 wheeler ride to see a Moose, because that was the best time to see one! Sometimes you even let me drive. I really admired you as a child, and also as an adult. My friends always thought you were the coolest. I would love to bring them to camp to hear all of your stories, listen to The Hank, and hear you play the bones. You were truly one of a kind. You touched so many lives with all of your love. It makes me sad that Patrick will not get to know you, but your legacy will live on forever. Give Nan a big smooch for me- I know you will.

Until we meet again. Remember, you taught me never to say goodbye, it's "I'll see you soon."

Love always,
Deidre your "little hunny"
