Robert S. McQuinn, 80
PORTLAND - Robert S. McQuinn, 80, of Brookview Terrace in Portland, passed away on May 16, 2017, following a lengthy illness. He was born Cambridge, Mass., the son of George and Sarah (Burke) McQuinn.
He graduated from Cheverus High School and University of Southern Maine. In 1962, he was drafted by the U.S. Army and served in South Korea. After serving his enlistment, he later started working for Getty in 1966, where he retired after many years of employment. He continued working part-time at Cabela's in Scarborough.
He was predeceased by his brother, George McQuinn.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna (Fairweather) McQuinn, of Portland; children, Carol Daigle, James McQuinn, Peter McQuinn, and Jean McQuinn; grandson, Brandon McQuinn; brother, John McQuinn; and sisters, Joan Cote, Sarah Elwell, and Maureen McQuinn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Southern Maine and at Sedgewood Commons for their exceptional care.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at

199 Woodford St., Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Ave., Portland.
