She was an extraordinary women. It's hard to believe she's gone.
There is much that could be said about Rosie-all superlatives-but as I write this I particularly remember the timbre of her voice; rich and full.
My heart goes out to Peter, Natalie, and Petes.
Being her friend was one of the blessings of my life

Rosie lived at our house briefly when I was a child. Her happy disposition brought light to my life at a time of tumult in my own family. She was a friend to my Mother during her divorce and a friend to me during the recovery from that experience. She helped me learn about myself and gain confidence as I grew. She was a rare jewel.

Rosie,
You remain a model of courage, humor and enthusiasm, a person to emulate. Your presence in my family's life is a gift, one cherished.
Would that we each could remain as vibrant as you until we are called.
Thank you for sharing your many talents with us. Orrs is not the same without you, but know, Rosie, your spirit lives in those of us you infected with your excitement, you laughter and your integrity.

Rosie
One of my earliest thoughts of Rosie was how she and the rest of
the Shove clan treated us like family not just the caretakers!
Sundays we went to church together in the morning and then all
met for Sunday sing at one of the back shore cottages. When
working during the week there was always a treat to be had. The
lobster bakes on the shore where all good. Even the one where
Bern accidentally put a piece of old piling in the fire and all
the food had a tinge of creosote to it.
I always loved to hear about Rosie and Pete’s exploits. One of
the times Pete went out lobstering with us, after a trip to Ice
Land (I think), and wanted the sculpens that where in the traps.
A couple days later Rosie had us over for lunch and served fish
stew. Yep you guessed it, Sculpen stew. It was pretty good much
to our surprise! Taught me first hand, what one man thinks of as
trash is anothers food.
Rosie would always stop by to see how we were doing. During the
Winter she would call. She was a straight shooting, caring
classy Lady.
