Drewry Fox Obituary

Drewry Redwood Fox, II. passed away on July 18, 2021 after a yearlong illness at Whitehorse Retirement Village in Newtown Square Pennsylvania.  He was born in Willamsport Pennsylvania on January 5, 1936 to Ann Flock Fox and Paul Drewry Fox.  Drew grew up in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania and graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1953.  He then attended college at Virginia Military Institute where his father and brother also attended and graduated in the class of 1957.  He married Joanne Freney of Rosemont Pennsylvania in 1960 and they went on to raise their family in Narberth, Pennsylvania.  He spent the majority of his career working at the Campbell Soup Company in Camden New Jersey as the Director of Consumer Relations.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Joanne and is survived by his brother Michael O. Fox (Norma), and his daughters Lisa (Malcolm), Linda (Brian), Carolyn, and Suzanne (David) and his eight grandchildren.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and being in the center of all the action.  He loved watching college sports especially sports that his children and grandchildren participated in.  He was an avid fly fisherman, golfer and bird watcher who had a deep appreciation for nature and animals.  He was also an enthusiastic reader and life-long learner.  His hobbies included singing in the choir, painting, fly-tying, leather working, knife collecting and organizing class reunions.  He loved talking with people and never met a person who he couldn’t strike up a conversation with.  He is remembered by all as a kind-hearted gentleman.  He will be interred in a private ceremony at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and celebrated in a virtual memorial service on September 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  Details for the virtual service can be found at www.mcconaghyfuneralhome.com Funeral arrangements by McConaghy Funeral Home, Ardmore PA.
