I just read about George's passing in the Bucknell Magazine. George was a year ahead of me at Bucknell and we were fraternity brothers. He was a positive influence in college, including encouraging me to continue into advanced ROTC. I enjoyed being George's friend and fraternity brother and our prayers go out to his family.

Dear Patty, I asked that Herm remember me to you but know how difficult this time is and how little of it you will remember. I know that well after my husband died I sat and read the book with all the guests signatures and said over and over, "I didn't realize they were there." But know that I am thinking of you and can only send you hugs and prayers.

Sorry to hear of the passing of George Clement. I worked for George for 16 years (1972-1987) and help launch several of the successful poster programs they published. George provided me with many learning opportunities during those years that I was able to carry on throughout my career. His leadership and example will be long remembered.

Patty, Josh, Annie, Becky and the entire Clement Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. George was a teacher, mentor, a true leader, a great man. I have many memories, but will always be thankful to him for September 11, 2001, a day that I could have lost my husband, but with George's strength he kept me calm and focused and helped me through the following days, weeks and months. May god help you through this difficult time and may you find comfort knowing that he touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways. I have lost a dear friend. George you will be missed.

The first time that I ever saw George was as he walked by the door of my office in Vermont and said “hello.” I had no idea at that moment of the impact that he would have on my life for many years to come. George offered me the opportunity for a wide range of adventures and experiences for which I will always be grateful. My sincerest condolences to the entire Clement family.

I was saddened today to hear of George's passing. He was a coach and mentor to me. My sympathies to the Clement family on the passing of George Clement.
I only met Mr. Clement one time, but I had heard of him often. My father, Steven B. Catalano Jr., worked at Clement Communications for 35 years before his passing in 2003.
I specifically recall seeing Mr. Clement at my father's viewing. I was escpecially touched watching him say his goodbyes to my father. Mr. Clement then took the time to speak to my brothers and I individually, along with each member of my family, spending some extra time with my grandmother. He spoke fondly of my dad and I could tell that he was deeply saddened by his passing. It was something that my family and I appreciated very much.
Please know that Mr. Clement, and his family, will be in my families thoughts and prayers as you go through the difficult time ahead.

George was one of the toughest people I have ever worked for yet, he was someone that always made you want to work harder, better and smarter. Mr Clement once said to me, "I'm trying to get people to call me George, and nobody will." I think that was in part due to the tremendous respect we all had for him. I enjoyed my years working for the Clement family, and learned much.
He will be greatly missed by many.

Almost every thing I know about marketing came from George. He took a chance on me in 1971, giving me the good fortune of sending the next 33 years of my career working with and learning from George Clement. I have many fond memories of George both inside and outside the office, like a memorable canoe trip down the Delaware and many great days sailing the Chesapeake. Our condolences to Patty, Annie, Becky and Josh.

George called me into his office one day to show me this picture of him wearing a Captain's hat that I gave him years ago. I was so nervous being in his office I thanked him and took the picture with the frame out of his hands and went back to my cubicle. As I sat there, I started to wonder "Did George give me the picture OR did he just want to show me the picture?" I was waiting for days to get that call to return his picture, but I never got that call. It was a special gift for me and that was the kind of guy George was...

I'll always remember George would correct me when I called him “Mr. Clement”. Still, out of respect, I continued to call him “Mr. Clement” and that's how I'll always remember him, despite him correcting me almost each and every time. He was a great mentor, and I will always appreciate the encouragement and support he gave me throughout my career. I have so many great memories from working at Clement; it will remain a fond part of my life that opened up opportunities for me in my future.
