Gordon Lee Wright, 20, of Newport, NC died Friday, September 30, 2016. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 292 McCabe Road, Newport, NC at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, with the Rev. John Grayson officiating. A memorial service will also be held in Manchester, VT at a later date. He was born September 12, 1996 in Rutland, VT. Gordon was a graduate of Croatan High School who was an avid surfer and enjoyed all his friends. He had a great smile, was well loved and will be missed by all. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Moses Wright of Newport; father, Daniel Brooks Wright of Berwyn, PA; sister, LeeAnne Alter-Wright of Dorset, VT; maternal grandparents, Kathryn Ramsey Moses and V. Lee Moses of Bryn Mawr, PA; paternal grandmother, Inga-Lisa Myrin-Wright of Berwyn, PA; uncle, Charlie Wright and wife Kim of Berwyn, PA; aunt, Karin Leith of Haverford, PA; cousins, Brandon Wright, Rebecca Wright, Hanni Blindenbacher and Kalle Blindenbacher all of Berwyn, PA. His paternal grandfather, Gordon Wright, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes Counseling, 1730 Live Oak Street, Beaufort, NC 28516.
