Madeleine was a dear friend for about 25 years. We played tennis and paddle together. We loved to have lunch at Frankie's (Fellini's) in Berwyn. We enjoyed great Italian food (Madeleine loved mussels in white wine sauce), a glass of cabernet sauvignon, and interesting conversation. Madeleine's dry wit and mischievous sense of humor kept us laughing. She was a staunch conservative. After lunch we would stop at Madeleine's house and discuss the politics of the day. Madeleine will always be in our midst when her friends celebrate a toast to her at our birthday luncheons.

I've had the good fortune to have been of service to Madeleine and Bill for over 20 years. They were both wonderful people and we became close way above a typical client relationship. I feel like I've lost an extension of my family. The world was better off for having had them in it.

We will all miss Madeleine's quick wit, her twinkling eyes, her warm and loving heart, her curiousity and thirst for knowledge. At age 87 she and I took a 101 computer class at the Wayne Senior Center. She struggled with that darn mouse but conquered "him". She went on to enjoy her new techy toy especially the political e-mails and her French newspaper. I really admired her spirit. Love you Madeleine.....Carol "D" . ,
