Dear Mimi: I learned of Paul's death from Ralph Earle who had just attended his funeral. What a shock and how sad I was to learn the news.
Paul's humor was a delight . I loved the way he delivered it, holding a straight face for as long as he could hold it and then breaking up. Such fun he was !!
I am sad too that we lived in different cities and that the two of you rarely came back up to Northeast Harbor. I hope there is a next life where we can correct that.
My affection to you as you go through the next few months. Mike Peabody

Dear Mimi, Francie, Rita and Lea,
I am so very sorry to learn of Paul's death. Every time I saw him, he was welcoming, warm, filled with the joy of life-- it felt good to be in his presence. Beyond my personal sense of loss, I speak also on behalf of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts-- he was a great friend to the Academy through the years, and we shall miss him. Deepest condolences, and warmest regards, Gale Rawson (Devon PA)

I'll always remember Paul's big arm hugs, (comforting for a 5' tall person), his enthusiasm for all efforts we undertook together, his loving banter with Mimi, and his love for people in need. His spirit lives on at the Church of the Advocate...a true friend to so many.

Dear Mimi and family,

Sally and I were deeply sorry to receive word of Paul's passing. He is truly one of the finest men I have ever known and it was a special honor and privilege to have worked for him during our Provident/PNC days many years ago. His character, warmth, kindness and welcoming manner will never be forgotten. God bless him and you always.

Fondly, Dick Bauer

I am very sad to learn that My Boss and Good Friend Paul has passed away. In my 40+years at Provident National Bank (PNC), we had many Presidents. Paul was the best and we all loved him. He was a leader, who motivated performance, and also enjoyed being part of the work. He was a true people person. I have, and will continue to have, many fond memories of the "big guy". Paul called me "Groovy" Garvin and it never went away.
My prayers and condolences to Mimi and the Ingersoll Family.

Dear Mimi:
I was saddened to hear of Paul's passing. He always seemed ageless to me. I never saw him without a wonderful smile, and I was always impressed at how genuinely interested he was in other people. He was a Gentleman in every sense of the word. You were such a handsome couple.A minister friend said to me many years ago when my Father passed, that "when people are alive, they are outside of us.When they pass, they are forever within our hearts." I took great comfort in those words. I hope you can as well. How wonderful it is that you both had so many years of happiness together.
Blessings,
Sam Chew
